Go Outdoors

During our work with GO Outdoors, our drainage engineers had to really get their hands dirty. The main roof valley was full of plastic bags, paper, and debris. So, our expert team returned with a cherry picker and removed the blockage over a course of two days. We cleared the main valley and pumped away the excess water. Then, we cleared the vertical and horizontal pipework to get things back in order.

The Problem

Main Roof

  • Main Valley full of water
  • Plastic bags, paper and debris
  • Water is one foot deep in some areas
  • Need to return to sure with Cherry Picker over two days to remove access water and clear main valley
  • Pump away water, remove all rubbish and clear vertical and horizontal pipework
  • After the above is done, further recommendations was produced.

Main Valley and guttering

  • Drain holes covered over by historical repair works
  • Major rust damage which needs to be jet-washed and treated
  • Localised patch work which has failed

The Solution

Main Valley and guttering

  • Cleared main Valley from foreign objects including plastic bags
  • Identified a number of cracks / holes along main central valley, we also attempted to clear rubbish from the primate guttering
  • We have also identified a large amount of rust damage due to weathering and long term exposure to surface water.
  • Major rust damage which needs to be jet-washed and treated
  • Localised patch work which has failed
  • Complete localised patch work for temporary solution.
