Joe Kelly
Managing Director
Joe started the company in September 2008. Having previously managed two other plumbing and drainage companies over a 13 year period, he had a vision of creating a large company but one that was built on family values. Today, that vision is very much becoming a reality. Having worked his way from plumber to managing director, Joe understands the pressures put on both the operations and the engineering side of the company.
His ethos is to employ good people and to look after and pay them well. Joe has quickly built a very successful business by delivering outstanding levels of customer service and places importance on good communication. Dave Scudder
Drainage Projects and Development Manager
Dave has worked at Defluo since the company started in 2008, initially gaining hands on skills as a Drainage Foreman, quickly progressing to a Drainage Divisional Manager. Dave’s current role of Drainage Projects and Development Manager combines both his excellent customer services skills and 12 years of knowledge in the commercial plumbing & drainage industry. He oversees complex drainage projects whilst developing business relationships with both new & existing clients.
Dave’s recent projects involve the rollout of a grease management programme for a large chain of high street restaurants from start to finish including specification, installation and more importantly the ongoing maintenance programme to ensure the sites and the environment are both protected. Dave is our “go to” man when it comes to drainage.
David Yates
Drainage Divisional Manager
David spent 26 years in senior management in the licence trade industry, responsible for facilities management and Health and Safety before joining Defluo in 2011. David brought his knowledge of customer care and the ability to understand customer requirements.
Through David’s Commercial background he understands how a non-trading site can affect the profitability of a business. That is why his team react quickly and effectively to ensure our customers drainage problems are resolved with minimal disruption.
Grant Duff
Business Development Manager
Grant joined Defluo in September 2016 and has gained valuable knowledge as a Drainage Controller responsible for locating resources in business critical sitatuion as well as planning maintenance schedules.
After 1 year as the controller Grant was given the opportunity to become a Business Development Manager. His energy and willingness to assist clients has been positively received by both Defluo and our customers. He is responsible for a number of high profile blue chip clients in the restaurant and hotel sector.
Judy Causer
Midlands Divisional Manager
Judy has 20 years’ experience working in the FM industry. Judy has managed teams of 150 helpdesk staff providing 24/7 support to Blue Chip clients. The helpdesk managed work flow for clients in business critical situations where no two calls were the same. Judy also provided support to on-site project managers who were managing store refurbishments on behalf of clients.
Judy joined Defluo in 2016 and was instrumental in setting up the Midlands Division. Judy’s team has steadily expanded, undertaking works involving plumbers, drainage and building engineers. The whole process is carefully overseen by her team including quotes and job allocation ensuring clients receive great customer service at a great price. The Midlands team take great pride in their work this is why all works are quality checked from start to finish whilst keep the client completely in the loop.
Richard Hill
Regional Business Development Manager
Richard is the latest addition to our growing sales and customer service team, joining in Jan 2018. Richard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, with a background as a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years of industry experience in both engineering and Facilities Management which enables him to understand business needs at all levels.
Working for a number of blue chip companies such as Seven Trent Water, ISS, Santander, Barclays, Thomas Cook, RSA, Pfizer, and Astra Zeneca. Richard is constantly reviewing how Defluo can improve our customer service experience to stay a step ahead of the rest.
Lee Palmer
Regional Business Development Manager
Lee has been part of Defluo for over 7 years, responsible for managing relationships with our key accounts. Lee has been in the sales and service industry of over 25 years. Gaining his knowledge and experience in dealing with national accounts within the photocopier industry for 20 years. He then went on to run a family business for 5 years providing automated monitoring systems to the restaurant and pharmaceutical industries.
This experience has been imperative in understanding commercial business requirements. Undertaking face to face meetings and providing a top quality customer service. “As Lee would say communication is key”
